Doesn't food give us life, you say? It actually gives us death, a little at a time. Food is mostly for pleasure or psychological reasons, but that pleasure or sedation comes at a very high cost -your health and often your life. Yes food is a drug and like all drugs it's highly addictive and destructive. Food is why we sleep, grow old, and die, but almost no one will tell you this. Our modern processed diet is especially to blame, but even organic produce doesn't stop the clock. Only fasting can reverse aging, and intermittent fasting opens the door. By reducing your food intake to a few or several hours per day, like 11AM to 4PM, for example, and drinking only clean water the rest of the time, you are giving your body a greater chance to clean, heal, and repair itself. Some like to narrow the window even further to one or two hours and eating just one meal per day. Read Julia Seton's "The Short Cut: Regeneration through Fasting" on what a ten-day one-meal-per-day fasting regimen can do. You can eat most foods during that one meal per day but avoiding most processed foods is of course better, It's also best to do your fast in private, away from disbelievers. Lucky you if you live in the country and are mostly by yourself. City dwellers will have a much harder time because of the social constraints and artificial environment. Fasting is also best done in a warm or controlled environment. You will not normally need to sleep or rest as much when fasting so keep yourself busy. Before you start your fast you need to read up on it and believe in it otherwise you will likely fail. The mindset is very important. Also, unless supervised, you need to be relatively free of of medications or other dependancies and I do not recommend this for pregnant women or those who are too young to know what they're doing. Start slow and work your way up so your body adjusts, and if you encounter serious problems or doubts do not continue. Fasting is serious business and requires knowledge and care. When you fast your body automatically goes into clean up and repair mode eliminating all the crap inside of you that shouldn't be there and that is making you ill. Tumors and blockages dissolve, the bloodstream flows freely again, and all of your functions return to normal. The older or more severe your condition the longer it will take to heal you. Be patient and persist. If you do it right, in time, you will feel and look better and be thankful that you did so. Of course, food restriction is not the ONLY solution to your health, but it is HUGE, I would say up to 80 per cent. The rest is social and environmental. Humanity needs to go back to a more natural or agrarian way of life, free from the stresses and poisons of modern living. Cities and cold zones are NOT conductive to good health. We should be living way past 100 and with no infirmities or debilities. Intermittent fasting opens the door to your full health and potential. back to main |
