We Are Emotional Eaters

We eat to satisfy our emotions. Not all of our needs are met daily so we resort to food to make up for what's missing. Different foods or drink or anything ingested satisfy different emotions. Yes, most of us lead empty or unsatisfactory lives and food is our way out.

"What's eating you?" we often ask others. Guilt, emotions, insecurities, unfulfilled desires, sadness, loss, trauma, failure, bad relationships, work and money issues issues, etc. -the list is endless. It's obvious to most of us that we live in a very unideal society or world where the negative side seems to dominate, so we escape through food, sex, drugs, and other addictive activities that temporarily take our minds and emotions away from the problems.

Most of us are bored, so we eat. Most of us are also unloved, so we eat. Eating and drinking fills the emptiness, at least temporarily. You've heard of the story where someone falls in love and loses all appetite for food, or someone finds Jesus or a drug that fills that emptiness or need. Yes, most of us are restless and searching for something that will satisfy us permanently. Unfortunately, such people are the exception. Most of us go to our graves unfulfilled.

Yes, food is a substitute for love, and self-fulfillment or realization, and a society that represses truth and all of the vital things in life. In an ideal society, we would all be filled with truth and light and hunger would not be an issue anymore. Tartaria reached such a state before it was destroyed by the ravenous ones, as did other utopias of the past.

In astrology, your Moon sign is what you hunger for or how you seek to satisfy your emotions. Moon in Aries wants or seeks direct activity or experience. Moon in Taurus has very tangible desires such as food or sex or material possessions. Moon in Gemini needs knowledge and variety. Moon in Cancer seeks security through familliarity. Moon in Leo needs love warmth and recogntion. Moon in Virgo needs to be useful or of service. Moon in Libra needs fairness and good company. Moon in Scorpio needs to deal with deep and dark issues. Moon in Sag needs to travel, believe, and explore. Moon in Capricorn needs to build and organize. Moon in Aquarius needs to be free and truthful. Moon in Pisces needs quiet or alone time. Neptune and Pluto or any planets in water will also give you clues as to what you hunger for and how you can fulfill yourself.

Hunger is also environmental. Before the Great Flood and the rupture of our canopy, the Earth was a paradise and everything grew big because of the giant trees and the extra oxygen. Most of us were fruitarians then and some breatharians because we got everything we needed from our rich environment. We were giant as well and lived very long lives. Then the invaders came and cut down all the trees and greatly ruined or decimated our environment. With less oxygen and dangerous rays streaming in and the stresses of being captivite, we greatly diminished as a species as did also the animals and plants. When our captors are booted out and our environment is restored we will once again thrive as we once did and not be the destructive eaters and polluters we are today.

Hunger or eating is a sign that we are lacking or incomplete in some way or that our environment and social situation is abnormal. Yes we can eat for pleasure and celebration on occasion, but it must not become the obsession or drug habit that it is today. Processed foods today, with all of their chemical additives are designed to make you constantly hungry while giving you little in return. If we're going to eat well we need to start growing our own food again and stop depending on the profiteers. Food grown in your own garden or locality is cheap and nutritious and tastes way better.
