Two Rockers with Aquarius Rising

Two notable rockers with Aquarius Rising, Jim Morrison and Michael Hutchence, share similar careers and tragic destinies. Both highly passionate, rebellious, and independent, their charts tell it all.

Below are their charts and the planetary positions that made them both magnetic yet unfortunate. Both died very young and their deaths are still mysterious to this day.

What is it about Aquarius rising that makes these individuals attractive, intelligent, rebellious, and ahead of their time? Why Uranus of course! Electric Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and when it works via the Ascendant the effects are most noticeable, in both looks and actions.

Morrison had Sun in Sag which is also highly rebellious and independent. His Ascendant is part of a cross in the fixed signs which made him resourceful and wilfull. It's also part of a grand air trine giving him much intellectual or social ability. Unfortunately, his passions (Scorpio Venus and MC) and pride (Jupiter and Pluto in Scorpio) led him astray. Similar to large extent with Hutchence.

Hutchence was a double Aquarius (Sun and Ascendant) typifying the traits of this sign, more so than Morrison. Also there is a heavier Leo concentration in Morrison and a heavier Capricorn concentration in Hutchence which also shows in the appearance. Morrison had no Virgo but Hutchence did. Both Hutchence and Morrison had fixed Moons and Mercury in Capricorn making them fairly predictable. Also, Morrison had the heavy Gemini flexibility and adaptability which Hutchence did not.

While Morrison's birth time (11:55 AM) is pretty well established, Hutchence's 5:00 AM is not. It's pretty obvious to me that he was born a little later than that, giving him Aquarius rather than Capricorn rising. His Aquarius rising features are unmistakable.

It is highly likely that Hutchence has his MC/Midheaven in late Libra explaining his sense of beauty, harmony, rythym, and musical ability, but it would move and express into the much harsher and extreme Scorpio nature by progression some years later. Morrison, on the other hand, was born with a Scorpio MC adding to an already heavy fixed sign emphasis (half the chart). This is seen in the square jaw which in phrenology signifies willfulness, strength, and determination.
