2I Borisov or C/2019 Q4 was the 2nd interstellar body discovered on August 29, 2019 by Gennadiy Borisov using the Margo Observatory in Ukraine. It is inclined at 44 degrees to the ecliptic, an eccentricity of 3.36, and an unknown orbital period. It came closest to the sun (perihelion) on December 8th 2019, and closest to Earth 20 days later on December 28, 2019. It's tail measured 14 times the size of the Earth. The nucleus size ranges anywhere from 1.4 to 16 kilometers. It's closest approach to the Sun is 1,9 AU or just outside the orbit of Mars. It originated from Casseopia/Perseus and will leave towards Telscopium. It travels at a speed of 32 km per second. ![]() Like Ouamuamua and Atlas, Borisov is likely to be a craft rather than a comet, although much smaller. They may all be connected in some way heralding some rare and important event in our cosmic history, and more such objects may follow. Astrologically 2I Borisov came from mid-late tropical Taurus and will go towards mid tropical Capricorn. Most of us have it in late Taurus except for those born near perihelion (2013-2026) who will have it anywhere from tropical Gemini to Capricorn. Below are tables for 2I Borisov for January 1st UT/GST.

Notes: 3I Borisov was mostly in tropical Sagittarius during the covid period, with some Scorpio and Capricorn. Both Borisov and Atlas intersected our solar system near Mars with their perihelion in Libra while Ouamuamua was closer to Mercury with its perihelion in Virgo. |
