The vast majority of religions believe in reincarnation or rebirth which states that the soul or spirit
survives physical death and later, after a period of rest and revision, reenters another form or body.
Even Christianity originally taught this precept, but it was later removed or changed to suit the agendas of the then ruling powers.
Fortunately, not all the verses referring to or implying reincarnation were deleted from the bible. The most famous is the public inquiry
as to whether John the Baptist was the incarnation of Elijah.
The two oldest and most populous countries, India and China, believe in some form of reincarnation. Muslims and Buddhists alike believe that
the soul can progess or regress into a higher or lower caste or form depending on the actions taken during this present life. This makes reincarnation
a deterrent for evil and crime in these nations, which is a good thing.
Basically, we start off as blank spirits, angels, souls, or balls of energies, microscopic in size, and working our way up through the various
kingdoms of nature. You may have begun as a particle of light or air or as a drop of water or grain of sand, and later progressed to become a ray of
light, a wind or breeze, a pond or lake, or a rock or hill, and then to larger things still. Being absorbed, breathed, drunk, or used as construction material,
provided the impetus to seek greater freedom in the plant kingdom.
Your graduation from the mineral to the plant kingdom was a huge step in both mobility and conciousness or sensitivity. From a simple blade of grass,
to a flower, to a great tree, you experienced new and unfolding realities of being. You were now always above ground, though still stationed or fixed
in one spot. Being eaten, picked, cut, or tread upon, instigated the necessary crisis to push you on to the greater independance of the animal kingdom.
In the animal kingdom you acquired the distinct advantage of total MOBILITY whether on land, in the sea, or in the air. From the most basic animal forms
such as parasites and insects, you went on to lives as reptiles, amphibians, fishes, birds, and small rodent animals. The great lesson here was SURVIVAL.
You then went on to live as larger mammals and finally as a human.
All of these forms did not evolve into one another, rather, they were created individually to accomodate a growing conciousness and sensitivity. It must
be understood that spirit always seeks a more complex or refined physical vehicle in which to express through, and a new human body better than the one we
have now, will no doubt be created for those whose conciousness and sensitivity has grown beyond the confines of our present body. The same can be said for
the planet or house we live in, and even the bible says we will one day have new bodies and a new Earth.
There are many different kinds of souls in human bodies today. Some have just come over from the animal kingdom(those who were pets or had frequent human interaction),
while others are ready to move on to whatever higher kingdom awaits us(those who have awakened to their higher selves). The rest are inbetween, content to stay in their
bodies as they are. I have heard or read that humans can become moons or planets, and that planets can become suns, and so on. This leads to the idea that there is one
huge overall conciousness or sentience that ensouls the entirety of the physical creation(the god of all gods) and that this is everyone's final destiny or
reincarnation. It is where we started and where we will end, and then start over again(a circle or spiral).
What if you had been possessed in a past life and such a memory surfaced or was unlocked by you. Would you be able to relive the experience without it overwhelming you? Probably not. That is why it is best locked or forgotten -untill you CAN deal with it. Even present life traumas are naturally suppressed. Forgetting is the soul's way of dealing with a crisis and then carrying on. But do you really forget. No. Your subconcious never forgets, and the price you pay for not immediately dealing with a problem or trauma is that it slowly eats away at you from the inside and can surface or leak out as a disease, infirmity, or personality quirk. In can result in a shorter lifespan or in an unhappier lifestyle. Sooner or later, if you wish to be fully healed, you must face all your demons from the past, and the key is to strengthen yourself for this eventuality. The same can be said for humanity on a collective level. Who knows how many horrors or atrocities the human race has been subjected to(our collective subconcious knows) and how the forgetting or suppression of this has reduced the quality of our lives. For us to be using only one tenth of our brain or potential means there is something blocking us from using the rest, and it is something we would rather not deal with -hence the eating, and drinking, and partying, and any other diversion you can think of to keep us from remembering. Humanity is sick and needs to be healed! It is said that incarnation is the first sin, but that our "fall" into matter is inevitable. Matter is the dark side of spirit and we must deal with it. It is the only way for us to grow. Our whole purpose is to master matter through our bodies, and this requires that we continue to incarnate. See here for an excellent explanation. |
