Subject: more than 12 signs?
Hello Librarising,
Once I read on your site that you have thoughts about the zodiac's
change:you wrote that there'll be 16 signs in the future.
Are there any links or book titles you could give me which deal with
the topic of a new zodiac of more than 12 signs?
Have you thoughts/an opinion about it?
During the last few days it came to my mind that although the zodiac
order seems to be perfect there will be more than 12 signs. It was a
kind of vision in my mind.
What do you think about Ophiuchus?
I know that astrology is a symbol language. But some centuries ago
astrology was closely linked to astronomy and in astronomy there are
13 signs at the moment.
What do you think about it?
Bye,
KC

Response:
Hello KC,
I don't know of any books or links that deal with
a sixteen(or more) sign zodiac. It's a pretty rare
subject, and what little I wrote is mostly my thoughts
on it.
Your vision may well be valid. I feel such zodiacs
exist already, but on other planes or realities, where,
for example, the Buddhas and high masters can use them.
For most of us, however, the twelve-sign zodiac will
be our reality for a long time to come.
I am aware of Ophiuchus and the thirteen-sign zodiac.
Ophiuchus is south of tropical Sagittarius and falls within
that sign. There is also Arachne at the other end of which
I have written about in my astrology archives section. I
must make it clear, however, that I do not use the sidereal
zodiac or constellations. To me, the true zodiac is a SPATIAL
field or band around the Earth presently divided into twelve
equal segments and having its starting point at one of the
equinoxes.
I also do not subscribe to an odd-numbered zodiac. The
zodiac, being an astral or material reality, is always an
EVEN-based system. Odd numbers destroy the balance or symmetry
of astrology and greatly limit or upset the aspect patterns.
There would, for example, be no opposition(by sign), which is
a basic or fundamental aspect.
The different zodiacs, past and future, are reflected in our
chakra system which is an EVEN-based system: from the two-petalled
brow or lunar chakra to the twelve-petalled heart chakra(what
present humanity is striving for) to the 972-petalled crown
chakra of the Buddha and the high masters.
As the number of signs goes up the number of qualities or
characteristics per sign is diminished, but nothing is really
lost(just moved around). In a two-sign zodiac, for example, one
half contains all the positive or masculine qualities and the other
half all the negative or feminine qualities. In the twelve-sign
zodiac, each sign contains less but more specific qualities,
and in the 972-sign zodiac, each quality or specific characteristic
becomes a sign in itself.
Those are my thoughts on your question. I hope it has helped.
