The Ice Ages 108,000 year cycles
According to the Milancovitch cycle, the Earth's orbit is disrupted every 108,000 years(Table A), causing it to go into an ice age lasting about 100,000 years,
followed by a warm spell lasting 8000 to 12000 years(Table B). This means that we have had 17 ice ages in the last 1.8 million years. The last interglacial
period of which we are now in began some 11,800 years ago, which means that we are soon headed for another long cold spell. Could the coming polar shift
bring in the next ice age?

If this theory is correct, then our present civilization on the outer earth as we know it is only about 12,000 years old, and all those interminably long Lemurian and
Atlantean ages are either a fabrication or happened much earlier(or later) than we think. The inner earth, however, is a different matter; here the clime was, is, and always will be tropical,
and the history of civilization here may well be much longer than 12,000 years.
