I have Sedna closely aspecting my Sun, Moon, and Midheaven and intuitively feel this planet's power and message. Even when I look at myself in the mirror I can see this planet's haunting impress on my visage and field. It is much like the influence of Neptune, yet vaster and more primitive or primordial. Sedna is a powerful embryonic force just now awakening from its long slumber or sleep. It stirs or resonates powerfully in the ancient tribes and peoples of this Earth, most notably the natives of the cold Great White North(and perhaps also the South) where the spirit of Sedna sleeps and stirs. Sedna speaks through the mighty winds and the crackling sounds of the frozen North countries such as Canada, Alaska, Greenland, and Siberia. Northern Canada is of particular interest, for it is here that the meridian lines of geomagnetic power converge to form the Earth's north magnetic pole and where great power and linkage to the rest of our solar system occur. The primary power, is of course, the Earth's inner sun which links directly to the outer Sun and to the inner suns of the other planets, including Sedna. Canada is a young and prosperous country with vast and untapped resources and a great future. The confederation known as Canada was born in July 1st, 1867, just as Sedna was entering Aries, and did not really flower untill around its 100th birthday in 1967, when Sedna began its journey through Taurus. in 2024 Sedna enters Gemini, and this will no doubt begin another phase of this country's existence. The last three letters of the word Sedna make up the last five letters of the word Canada. The last three letters of the word Sedna also spell DNA whose meaning I will get into later. I have had the privelege of living in Canada for most of my life and know this country intimately. It is sparsely populated and largely undeveloped due mostly to the winter weather which is bitterly cold from December to March. Most of the people live in the southern and coastal regions and are largely English except for the province of Quebec which is largely French. Then there are of course the more northerly native "indigenous" peoples, mostly Indian and Eskimo, who were here long before England and France sent their colonies, and who best represent the raw Sednian spirit and nature of the country. On April 1st,1999, Canada gave birth to a vast new territory, Nunavut, home of the Inuit people, from whom the myth of Sedna is derived. Nunavut's independance occured less than 5 years before the discovery of the planet Sedna, as though to ground its new energies. New planets always give birth to new nations or territories. The Inuit people of Nunavut resemble the Eskimo and number only some 31,100. They may have migrated from Russia along the Bering Strait to Alaska, northern Canada, and Greenland around 1000 AD. There are also some who claim they(and the Esimos in general) migrated outwards from the Inner Earth. It is also interesting to note that the magnetic north pole currently runs through Nunavut. The territory called Nunavik, also Inuit, but now part of northwestern Quebec, may also gain some form of independance around 2011. The planet Sedna was discovered by Palomar astronomers in November 2003 and has a highly elongated orbit in the thousands of years. It is some 1000 miles in diameter and will reach perihelion or its closest approach to the Sun around 2076 in early Cancer(tropical zodiac), and may be linked to that sign(as is the country of Canada). The Sedna myth is well known: a young Inuit daughter or maiden is thrown overboard into the sea and abandoned by her father and becomes the godess of marine life or sea mammals. The reasons for her abandonment are varied: she ate too much, she refused to marry normal men, or she was sacrificed to placate a dangerous storm. The discovery of Sedna coincides with the melting of the arctic and global warming in general, which will make Canada and the Great North the new lands of power and opportunity. The melting of the ice and snow, and the possible reformation of a water canopy or firmament over the planet will also open up or re-establish our link with the Inner Earth. The new energies coming from the Inner Earth and/or Sedna will reactivate our dormant or "junk" DNA(last three letters in the word Sedna), helping us to "remember" our true past and develop our full future potential. Lexigrams(making words or phrases from a larger word) can reveal a lot about a name or word. Sedna spelled backwards gives Andes, which is a long mountainous chain along the western coast of South America. Could Sedna have something to do with this region? The word "danse" which is French for dance is also constitutes all the letters of Sedna. Perhaps the chanting and dancing of the Inuit is one way to call upon the spirit of Sedna. How about Danes(Danish people), or great danes(in one version of the myth Sedna married a dog). This is just a fun way of trying to solve some of the mysteries of this most distant and mysterious world. Sedna will yield its secrets slowly, as this planet takes thousands of years to complete its orbit, and one of the best places to look for the answers to the riddle of Sedna, may indeed be the cold and frozen lands of the Great White North, such as Canada, and Nunavut in paticular.
