It all began with Jim Lewis and astro-cartography(also referred to as astrolocality) and the idea that your birth chart extends all around the planet or globe, and that by moving to another country or location you are also moving to a different part of your chart and highlighting it.

Astrocartography uses your Ascendant and Midheaven lines and their opposites(Descendant and Imun Coeli) to higlight the different planets of your chart. Trines, squares, and lesser lines can also be used.

Then came Michael Erlewine and the local space chart which aligns your chart from your home or city radiating outwards across the globe.

The final and perhaps most significant revolution in spatial astrology will be the personal space chart which uses your very own aura or magnetic grid as an astrological guide.

You move with or in your own energy grid or field, much like the Earth does. This grid is(or can be) aligned to the eastern horizon which becomes your ascending degree, and which way you face or look determines the sector of your chart directly influencing you, no matter where you may be located.
