Unique Perspectives on Astrology

On the one hand there are the Sun sign readings lumping everyone into twelve groups.
TOO SIMPLE.

On the other hand there are the birth charts with their houses and aspects and degrees.
TOO COMPLICATED.

Then there are the twelve planets in the signs.
JUST RIGHT

The truth is always somewhere inbetween.

Astrology was NEVER meant to be specific. Its purpose is to provide a FRAMEWORK within which we can exercise our free will.

There is enough imformation to be gleaned in your twelve planetary positions(by sign) without having to go into houses, and aspects, and degrees.

Degrees in particular are the bane of astrology creating the whole mess of houses and a host of invalid aspects and with them false and misleading interpretations.

Signs are energies, and energies are whole -they cannot(or should not) be divided into degrees. Degrees are merely reference points with no real power of their own. Only the starting and ending points of a sign should be considered, and unfortunately, this is done almost exclusively through mathematics. Actually, the beginning and end of a sign are interchangeable, for planets are capable of reversing their rotation or even their orbits, so that what was once the first degree of a sign would then become its last!

There will come a day when all humans will develop their psychic powers and will be able to see and recognize the colorful astrological fields both around themselves and the planets -and without the help of an ephemeris. Everybody will then be their own best astrologer. Jesus had this ability, and so do all psychics and spiritually evolved beings,

The astrological houses are the result of a misunderstanding of the true meaning of the Ascendant and Midheaven signs. The Ascendant is planet Earth and the Midheaven is a planet's Inner Sun. Mars in the fifth house is therefore Mars in lower trine relationship (by sign) to the Earth. The Midheaven or Inner Sun should be treated as a planet.

Interpreting Planetary Positions

Each planetary position describes a different part of you and can be interpreted in two ways -from the planet's point of view(the more standard procedure), or from the sign's point of view. Mars in Libra, for example, can be interpreted as meaning an "active social life" or a "harmonious energy flow". It can also mean "sex with a Libra type" or "marriage to an Aries type".

How this Mars relates to your other planets or someone else's can also work in two ways; the first is through the simple laws of synastry which are discussed in the relationship section of this site, and the other is through sign rulership. Mars will always be more closely influenced by planets in Aries and and a Mars(or any other planet) in Libra will have a special link to the Ascendant or rising sign( planet Earth). Only planets in their own(home) sign are truly indepenndant(Aries-like) and drive the rest of the chart on their own power.

Planetary Relationships

Planets in their own home signs will get along best with other planets in their home signs. Sun in Leo, for example, will get along best with another Sun in Leo or Mars in Aries or Jupiter and Sagittarius. Uranus in Aquarius will make an ideal partner, and Mercury in Gemini and Libra Rising will make good friends. Venus in Taurus and Pluto in Scorpio will be difficult but critical positions, and so will Moon in Cancer, Neptune in Pisces, Saturn in Capricorn and Midheaven in Virgo.

Sun in Aquarius is an opposition placement and seeks out other opposition placements for its full expression. Trines seek trines and squares seek squares, and so on.
