Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are an unusual comedy duo who were most successful in the 1970's and 80's for their stand-up
routines portraying two hippies of the free love and drug culture era. Together they produced the Cheech & Chong album(1971) which included their famous "Dave" routine. They then
went on to produce other albums and routines such as "Earache My Eye"(1974), "Basketball Jones"(1974), "Santa Clause and His Old Lady", and "Sister Mary Elephant"(1974). They also
made some films such as "Up in Smoke"(1978), Cheech and Chong's Next Movie"(1980), and "Nice Dreams"(1981). Both continued to work together untill 1985 before going solo and producing
their own imdividual works, occasionally re-uniting.
Their relationship was never really easy and this is understood when comparing their charts. Except for possibly their Moons, both are quite different, both personally and generationally.
Neighbouring Suns can grate on each other, but this is mitigated somewhat by Cheech's Uranus(friendship) in the sign of Tommy's Sun, and possibly Tommy's Venus(affection) in the sign of Cheech's
Sun. Unfortunately, a precise time of birth for Tommy is lacking, putting into question his Rising, Moon, and Venus placements. Their Mercurys are in square indicating a tense but productive
communicative rapport. There is at least one harmonious Venus/Mars exchange indicating affection, and at least one Sun/Moon aspect indicating friendship. Mars/Mars and Saturn/Saturn are in
square, the first describing an energetic or working tension and the latter a difficulty over the division of responsibility. Scorpio rising can be personally critical of solar Gemini,
but Midheaven in Leo finds an ally where career is concerned.
